off the phone with a client and we had a come to Jesus talk about e-mail. The truth is that e-mail has become an addiction.
As much as we try to deny we aren’t addicted, we are lying to ourselves every time we sneak a peek at our I-phone during a meeting, at a networking event, or even while driving.
Like an addiction e-mail has become unmanageable for many of us.

Ten Ways for Women to De-Stress at Work and Home
The new APA survey revealed women are more likely than men to feel chronic stress at work (previous blog). We also know that women with stressful jobs have nearly 40 percent increased risk of heart disease and a 60 percent increased risk of diabetes compared to their colleagues with less stress. In honor of Stress Awareness Month, here are some ways to deal with stress at work and home.
1. Find the Silver Lining
If you’ve seen the movie Silver Lining Playbook, you know that even when life looks the bleakest we can still find something positive about it. If something bad happens and you find yourself getting angry, wanting to get even, or feeling terribly anxious, you can often find that silver lining. Maybe you’re about to get laid off from a job you hate or your best friend is moving to Italy. Sometimes it’s the universe telling us it’s time to change or maybe even travel.
Workplace Stress: How It Affects Men and Women Differently

A new survey from the American Psychological Association indicates that women are more likely than men to feel chronic stress in the workplace.
-Thirty-two percent of women said their employers don't provide sufficient opportunities for internal advancement, compared with 30% of men.
-Thirty-eight percent of women vs. 27% of men say they don't' receive adequate compensation for their job.
-Women are more likely to feel tense during a typical workday; reporting more frequently that their employer doesn't appreciate what they do.
